Idiots Guide to US 911 requirements

I work for a European based provider but we are now being asked to iwork with our customers US offices and need to understand the regulatory issues around 911. What we can do, what we cant. How do we deal with mobile users (Softphones etc) centralised clusters with many remote sites either with or without local gateways.

basically, 911 is required

you must warn softphone/ipc users about the lack of support on 911, see link above

Each GW should have some connection to 911 even if it means at lease one fxo port which is also a good idea for srst
