Hi,

I'm trying to configure my IP-PBX for the 1st time. After the config was done, i rebooted the the 7940. On the display screen i got:

Unable to load the p00307020200.bin, so i fixed this problem, but after that i got another message saying "load ID incorrect"

Hi Walid,

Load ID incorrect

Load ID of the software file is of the wrong type.

Check the load ID assigned to the phone. Verify that the load ID is entered correctly.

From this good troubleshooting doc;

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/phones/ps379/products_administration_guide_chapter09186a0080129227.html

Here is the CME info you need;

Router# configure terminal

tftp-server flash: file-name

Router(config)# tftp-server

flash:P00307020200.bin

Router(config)# telephony service

Router(config-telephony)# load 7960-7940 P00307020200

****Note the P vs p****

From this excellent doc;

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps4625/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a008080d45c.html#wp1070512

Hope this helps!

Rob

I did exactly what you said, but now i'm facing another problem. The IP phone is frozen now, i have a message saying "TFTF file not found". None of the IP phone keys is working. I rebooted it and it's still frozen.

Hi Walid,

The phone cannot find the firmware file it is looking for on Flash. Is the file we listed previously loaded on Flash?

Rob

I guess so. When i entered the CL "show flash", it was listed there.

Plus when you do "telnet-server falsh:file name" and the file isn't available it should prompt this. But the problem now is with the IP phones; they are not working, frozen too.

Hi Walid,

Sorry to hear things are not working,but don't worry there will be a solution :) Can you tell me if these phones ever worked? I have read some of your other threads and know that this is a new setup. What files are shown in flash (please post). If the phones ever worked, what firmware was installed? If it was .sbin we can't go back to a .bin un-signed load. Here is some additional info that may help (have a close read of this doc);

Installing Cisco Unified CME Software

Hi, in addition to Rob's good advice, I can only add that it would be time for the guide to be updated, because it is missing the mandatory (and boring) part of configuring the files as "tftp-server ...", But I think you knew that already.

Anyway, what you can also try, is factory reset, power off phone, press # while powering on, release when led start flashing in pattern, press 123456789*0#, at this point phone should search for termXX.default.loads, make sure you have copied to router and configured "tftp-server ...".

Good luck!

Hope this helps, please reate all useful posts!,/i>

Hello, as I mentioned above, it is not enough to have the files on flash, unless you configure "ip source-addres ..." and do "debug tftp-events", you will never get to understand what is happening with the phones.
