I am able to record a a phone call from the supervisor desktop, I added a button the the Agent desktop but it will not start the recording , any tips?

Agent recording is also part of the next release; however, two workarounds are available if needed:

1. A recording device may be placed ahead of the gateway to record the calls prior to conversion to IP. Because this connection is monitoring the trunks only, the recordings cannot be searched or sorted by agent.

2. A recording device may be placed at the handset/headset jack of the agent's IP phone. A wire would run the phone audio back to the recording equipment. This solution is more labor intensive, but it provides recordings that may be sorted or searched by agent.

Neither one of these solutions is attractive. Cisco suggests them as only short-term solutions until it offers integrated agent recording.
