Is it possible to have a single router be an MGCP gateway and a CUBE server at the same time?

Good Day All

I am curious to know if it is possible to configure an MGCP gateway as a CUBE router and have the E1 line on the router still controlled by MGCP, but have other interfaces on the router work as a CUBE gateway.

We have a pair of 39XX routers that are used to terminate a PSTN E1 link via MGCP.

We would also like to connect to a SIP service provider with a view to begin migrating to SIP as our provider.

Is this possible, or do we need to purchase additional hardware to cater for the SIP service?

thanks

Hi Alalli,

You can run MGCP and SIP independently on the same router and as long as you do not control the same voice circuit with MGCP and SIP you are OK.

You do need CUBE licenses.
