Is there a time limit to join a MeetingPlace meeting?

Will a meeting get cancelled if no one attends? If so how long after the scheduled start?

I've asked one of my colleagues.

If you have planned a meeting, then the meeting will be available for the time reserved, even if no one attends the meeting.

There is a parameter "Disconnect empty port (min)" that will free the reserved ports if nobody is in a meeting for a particular amount of time. I found it discussed in the MeetingTime FAQ.
