ISR G4 T1 PRI Internal Clock Configuration

THOMAS CARROLL

Need to configure a ISR G4 4331 device with a T1 PRI Interface..The interface must supply clock to a legacy PBX...Old command in the 28XX/38XX-29XX/39XX under controller was "clock source internal"

Ill be emulating the NETWORK side in this configuration.

Now with the G4, clocking has changed significantly...I can not find any DOC on this....

What commands do i use to configure internal clocking on a MFT T1 PRI interface?

Update: 4-14-16

I found the solution in the document below.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/access/interfaces/NIM/software/configuration/guide/ConfT1E1NIM.html#pgfId-1074817

Can you share your relevant config? I can't get a ISR4k /w E1 to run as a clock master for a legacy PBX.. I need to provide the clock.

Mine was a T1, but should'nt make a difference i suspect

card type t1 X X
!
isdn switch-type primary-ni

!
controller T1 0/X/0 ## Only for PRI to PBX interface
framing esf
clock source network
linecode b8zs
pri-group timeslots 1-24
!
!
interface Serial0/X/0:23 ##For PRI to PBX only!
no ip address
encapsulation hdlc
isdn switch-type primary-ni
isdn protocol-emulate network
isdn incoming-voice voice
isdn supp-service name calling
no cdp enable
!

Thanks, what does your config looks like for:

sh controllers t1 0/x/0

sh network-clocks

sh network-clocks synchronization

sh run | s network-clock

My config posted above is what   worked for me
