We have multiple T connections through alternative providers to the PSTN- most carriers are using the 4/5ess at the CO. One carrier is using a DMS-500, we are provisioned on the DMS-100 side of the switch (the DMS-500 is just a DMS-100, 250 combo unit). We are able to make calls just fine, but data transmissions, fax or modem, through this particular connection are rather problematic. Example: you make an outgoing fax transmission through the 4ess provider just fine, fax the same number through the DMS-100 and we get about a 80% failure rate- a fax will start, get a page or so into transmission, and the line just drops. We have put tracing software on the line with assistance from the carrier and in every instance, the software shows the Cisco side sending a disconnect signal which of course drops the call.
We have called the TAC and well, we are on a slow progression to . . . .
Any ideas?
