Jabber for Mac - can I turn off the contact info balloons?

In addition to my soft phone I use Jabber for office instant messaging. I get a message from someone, click them in the user list, and the new message appears only to be covered by a pop-up the size of a billboard telling me all about the contact! I guess I should have moved my cursor off the contact! The primary purpose of the app is communicate, contact details are secondary. I generally know who the contact is, I just want to read their message. Is there any way to turn off the contact info balloons? If not can a preference be added for this please?

To my knowledge, that cannot be disabled in either Windows or Mac.

If you want that to be considered as a future enhancement, you need to submit a PER via your account team along with the business case for it.
