Kernel upgrade failure

Level 1

I´m running the process to upgrade DMS to 5.2 so first I had to go to 5.1, now I´m trying to upgrade kernel A1 in DMP4305 but when I am creating the advanced task for a firmware I can't choose the file I need after I upload it as a new asset into the library.

Hope you have any comments.

Thank you

The DMP is running 5.0 Firmware and 5.1 Kernel.

--> You need to upgrade the 5.0 Firmware to 5.1 first.

--> Once the Firmware is upgraded to 5.1 and the DMP rebooted & verified the upgrade was successful then

you upgrade to the 5.2 kernel.  and then subsequent 5.2 Firmware.

The screenshots tell it all 8-)

I do not seem to have an issue.

Please provide a screenshot of the following:

- Screenshot of the Advanced Task-->Upgrade Task

- Screenshot of the "View Asset" for the Kernel firmware asset information.

Thanks

Well I could create the advanced task then I did the play now task to send the kernel to the DMP but I don't how to check if it was succesful.

Thanks

Issue the following HTTP command from your

Web Browser:

To Verify Kernel Image, use the following URL String:

http://admin:default@a.b.c.d:7777/get_param?p=sinfo.version

admin          = DMP Web Account Username
default        = DMP Web Account Password
a.b.c.d        = IP Address of DMP
Please Provide the Response that you get from the DMP:

It did't work, does that mean it was unsuccesful?

I just did the process again and this time I realized that the DMP rebooted. Is that a good sigal?

Yes, after the upgrade it should reboot...

Where is the results of the MIB that I requested?

I want to verify the upgrade was successful

Thanks

T.

I typed the command into the browser but it marked an error, in fact I

atteched it in one of my previous posts. Therefore I wonder if it was actually succesful, I first upgraded the kernel after I make sure it was sucesful I'll go ahead with the firmware. Just want to make sure that the DMP doesn't get damaged during the process in the case some step was not correct.

Regards

I do not have Windows Internet Explorer.

Can you try Firefox to see if you get the same error?

Also, go to the DMP-DM Web GUI and provide a screenshot from

the:

-->ABOUT--> Hardware and Firmware Versions

Thanks

T.

Here are the screen shots you asked for.

Notice, that I have not loaded the 5.1 firmware only the kernel.

So I guess I'm on the correct way.

Thanks a lot!!
