Managing a 3510 MCU

Hello:

Our 3510 usage has grown recently and we can

no longer manage the device through the host

based utility provided. I have been unsuccessful

at obtaining either the api or mibs which would

allow me to set/clear service prefixs via our

own host based script. Can anyone help with this

issue? Does anyone have another way of managing

the 3510?

Thanks,Steve

contact your local Cisco sales rep or SE about getting a hold of the API. Alternatively, you can buy a software program provided by those already engineered to the API - Magicsoft, Global Scheduling Solutions, or Todd Communications

Thanks for the note. I have the MIB but it is only slightly helpful. It

doesn't compile for Spectrum and according to our Network

Management folks not all objects work and/or behave as expected.

There is a software package from Magicsoft called VC Wizard. It runs on NT and 2000 and is priced according to how many MCUs and gateways you want to manage. Its also integrated with Outlook 2000. Go to www.magicsoft.com. We are just bringing it up online. I don't have a real feel for any issues with the product yet. I know it automatically sets up and tears down the calls per the scheduled time and duration of the calls.

Thanks for the note. I've already looked at Global Scheduling but not MagicSoft.

We are not a big Windows shop so running on NT and 2000 is a problem. I'll

take a look at thier web site.

Thanks,

Steve
