Greetings,
One of customers wants their analog hotlines to be integrated with cisco cucm.
But the distance of analog hotline is ranging from 140meters to 1.4 km
Can the ATA191 if deployed near POE switch support in integrating the analog HOTLINE phone that is 1.4KM away?
Customer has a no media convertor policy.

The switch port, POE or not, has no relevance to this. The cable length is on the analogue side of things and that’s not related to the Ethernet side at all. I think that this post in the community should have the information that you seek. https://community.cisco.com/t5/ip-telephony-and-phones/vg224-max-cable-length/td-p/1277943

1.4 kms? No way that is going to work.
Ethernet only allows up to 100 metres.
The only way to get this done span the distance using a fibre optic link (Single Mode, OS2) and then a switch or a media converter to the ATA.

Hi
I dont believe you can get 1.4km with analog line and if you do, chances are you will get poor voice quality and noise. And, depending on the instalation, on the rainy season, lightning can cause trouble burning those ports.
You should be looking for some solution like this. This is just an example. You can find different vendor out there.
