Please could someone tell me where to find online, the capabilities of the 7940g phone specificaly the maximum size of an image.
<rant>
I've just spent a fruitless half an hour searching this site for "LCD 7940 pixels" "7940 screen size" etc... etc... I've tried navigating products/services->IP phones all to no avail. If anyone from cisco is paying attention please sort your site out, at least let google index the forums

Hi Duncan,
The short answer is: 133x65 pixels for the CIP image (the 7940 and 7960 offer the same screen size).
The IPPS SDK has the information you are looking for (page 10 of the 3.3(3) SDK describes the CiscoIPPhoneImage tag). It is also in the Cisco Press book "Developing Cisco IP Phone Services: A Cisco AVVID Solution".
If you're not already a member of Cisco's Developer Support program, check it out at

There is some information available in the public area of Cisco's site- start here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/phones/ps379/index.html
...and you can get to partial SDK information here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/phones/ps379/products_data_sheet09186a00800925a8.html
Hope that helps!
