Meeting place express, config

from reading the documentation i see that MPE recommends a gatekeeper in a H.323 enviorment. if i dont have a gatekeeper how do i configure without it? i thought H.323 was for video not phones. If it happens that the config is set up in call mgr what handles the various calls that will come into MPE? i am confussed. thanks for any help that comes my way

You will need a gatekeeper. Cannot configure without it,.

Are you asking about Meeting Place Express or full version one?

For Express (MPE) i have been using MPE w/o gatekeeper, or you can point GK address to CCM IP address...

thanks, i dont have a gatekeeper and it was working fine, but i could not use an internal ip phone to dial into MPE. that is my current concern. thanks for your post

If it is Meeting Place Express you do NOT need a gatekeeper.

In the MPE Configuration pages use the Callmanager address as the H323 gateway address. The latest Admin and configuration guides are good.

i got my MPE working again, i made a configuration change which was sending the wrong signaling out to the telco. thanks for all your help
