Meetingplace Migration from 8.0 > 8.5

my customer is migrating from meetingplace 8.0 to meetingplace 8.5. I am at the stage where i have configured my SSH server (on a windows box) to migrate the data however i am getting Validation Migration Failed. is there any valid documentation or workarounds available? Any info on what needs to be configured on the SSH server side with regards to rSync? has anyone successfully managed this?

Yes the migration works well and I have done it multiple times but for the migration to work you need a rsync server as FTP is no longer supported with MP 8.5.  Many unix servers have this built in so that is what we normally use.  You can also look at Cygwin which has a rsync option though I have not gotten Cygwin to work properly.

About Migrating the Application Server Software

A fresh installation of the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace 8.5 Application Server is required.

The fresh installation reformats the hard disk, and erases all existing information on the

hardware. The migration restore program will restore the legacy Cisco Unified MeetingPlace

data files from the remote backup directory.
