Hi all
We are a service provider with AS5350 GW. Our customer has cisco call managers and wishes to use our AS5350 as gateway to the PSTN. He wishes to use MGCP. It´s not entirely clear whether it can be done or not - I mean , both support MGCP , but all the info I read dose not say that the AS5350 (running 12.2 XB11) will work with the call manager. I have been told that I will have to use H323 - but need convincing . There may be a compatibility problem between the call manager and AS5350 , but cannot find the documentation that tells me so in black and white.
Does anyone know the answer ?
All answers appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

yes, you are right. AS5350 support is not added in the CM yet. unlike h323 mgcp endpoints are controlled by the CM and it is necessary that the MGC(CM) has the endpoint and support for that product.
So. yes for now, you have to use H323.
