A general enquiry this one folks.
What are the limitations/best practices of running UM on at one site with it's partnered Ex2k svr located across a (modest) WAN link located at a different site (possibly in another country).
I'm just wondering how latency may affect the MWIs etc & if there are certain parameters we should stay within.
Any tips from anyone who has done similar'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
NJ

Unity wasn't designed to support low bandwidth or high latency conditions. The effects are catastrophic (like Unity can stop answering calls altogether) and it isn't supported. The 4.0(3) release notes will elaborate on what is supported but basically you need to be in the same switched LAN.
Hope this helps,
Keith

That's what I was expecting. I'll get onto the powers that be advising them we definitely need a new Exchange box at this site.
Cheers for the quick response.
