P-Asserted-Identity with phone-context

Hello,
I have a few incoming SIP calls that come in with a PAI containing a <phone-context> value equal to the country code. my problem is that the display on Cisco 7821 phones did not include this value. is it a config error on my CUCM version 12.5 (12.5.1.15900-6) ? The display and the callback function are therefore incorrect.

exemple:

>> P-Asserted-Identity <sip:612341234;phone-context=+33@BC00.QZ92.ORANGE-MSS.FR;user=phone>

Regards

Well if you don’t have a Cisco gateway then it might be difficult to help you. It might be better if you where to ask your question in a forum for the specific gateway type that you have. I don’t think that the Cisco Community is the place for your question.

A couple of questions. Number one, what are you seeing displayed on the phone, is it 612341234? Second question, if that is what you see are you attempting to change the calling number en-route to the called device, with for example a voice translation rule/profile in the ingress voice gateway?

Good morning and thank you for the time spent answering my question.

1. yes the telephone display is 612341234 it also use this info in Recent calls and callback.
2. no I haven't any profile that changes the PAI. It happens like that from the provider but only in some cases. Currently it seems to me that only calls OBS (Orange Business Service) are concerned, and I would have liked to know if this PAI SIP format is in terms of correct syntax

Can you please collect the output from debug ccsip message and put it into a text file that you attach to your response? In it please include both a working call and a call where you’re seeing this issue. Also please outline clearly what the calling and called numbers are for both calls so that we can find the SIP dialogue in the file.

Hello Roger, sorry for the delay. I had need the Telecom admin to give me back logs from SBC Audiocode gateway
Found in attached file a network trace of my test
Caller: +33173305406
Called: +33611623027

The PAI is showing on frame n°23:

"P-Asserted-Identity:sip:611623027;phone-context=+33@BC00.QZ04.ORANGE-MSS.FR;user=phone\x0a"

It's when the Called phone pickup the call

I also open a case with my provider to confirm if PAI syntax is right or wrong .

Did you forget to attach the file?

no but I replied by mail. Trying again and see that *.pcap are not allowed. see attached file now.

Regards

So you did a packet capture? That's not what I asked for. Please provide the output from the debug and calls that I asked for in a text file if you want help with this. I cannot open a zip file from an unknown party as that is regulated by the security policy in the company that I work at.

Hello Roger, sorry I don't have a Cisco voice gateway and I will try to do SIP trace with RTMT on my CUCM.

I’m on vacation until next Tuesday (13/05)
