All, How can I get the MWI light to show on a phone that has an extension different than the voicemail box #?

In the messages tab just enter the number(s) you want to activate the MWI on. Enter the complete number and not the template.

Where is the messages tab?

In system admin under subscriber is a message link. About half way down on the page is the MWI block. As long as all numbers are in the same integration, just add the additional numbers to the block and the MWI indicator should work. Normally you just enter X to light the mailbox extension. to light others, enter the digits of the extension. So if you had 4-digit dialing, enter 1234 (or whatever your second line is) as the second extension. This works with Version 4.2 of Unity.

Usually, of the phone extension is not the primary extension, you will only get envelope, not the MWI lights

You can add that as shared line, and then it will display envelope indicating that it has voicemail

Hi Rob,

Check out Step #5 from this doc ( Under MWI Extensions) this will allow you to add the MWI for the specified Alternate Extension.
