Phone unregister with CME

Hi

I have an IP Communicator that I am trying to register with a CME. The delay between my CME and PC is 290ms. The problem is that the phone registers and after about 2 seconds it unregisters again. I think the problem is as a result of the delay. Does anyone know what can be done to overcome this?

Turn on logging on the ip comm to find out why it is not registering.

The Error Reporting Tool saves data in the following locations:

?On computers using Microsoft Windows XP: Start > My Documents > Cisco IP Communicator

?On computers using Microsoft Windows 2000: Start > Documents > My Documents > Cisco IP Communicator

Are you running at least cme 3.3? Cisco IP Communicator 2.0 is supported by Cisco CallManager Express 3.3 using Cisco IOS Software Release 12.4.

DEFINITELY sounds like a delay issue! There is a note on the Known Issues for IP Com 1.1(5) in this regard: (not directly, but it describes using IP Communicator over a dialup and VPN with low bw and poor audio ....this is exactly what seems to happen as a symptom)

I would try using CME 3.4 and IP Communicator 2.0., as I have this combination working at several customers with no problem. I would also put a sniffer on the back of the IP phone port to see if it is dropping or lagging RTP. Keep in mind that 150ms Delay, as dictated in Cisco VOIP SRND is there for a reason.
