Pick Up a call from a specific phone

Hello,

one quick question: is it possible to pick up a call that is ringing in a specific extension?

I have CCM 4.1(3).

Yes. Youn only have to set up a Call Pick Up group for the extension that you would like to pick up and for the extensions that you would like that take the calls. Then, use the softkey pick up in the IP phones.

First, set up the pick up group, and then set up in the DN configuration page that group. You can pick up a call from another pick up group.

What if you don't want to use pickup groups? What if you simply want to be able to pickup a call ringing on any phone if you know the extension? Is that possible?

Yes, it is possible, but you have to define a lot of Pickup groups. For every extension you should create a pickup group, for example 71000+Ext num. Then, when you want to pick up a call if you know the extension, you have to dial 71+extension (supposing extensions with 3 digits).

A lot of config to do, as you can see. I guess if it is possible to do this config with BAT?
