PVDM, FXO and E1

Dear all

can you please clarify this scenario:

i have an ISR4321-V/K9 and NIM-4FXO=

and our Future plan to have E1 cable, and increase the number of phone cables.

i know that FXO card with ISR4321, we do not need to add PVDM module, because new FXO cards have on board DSP.

can you Please Clarify if we need an PVDM module ???

Yes, E1/T1 NIMs do not have built-in PVDM and you need to buy a module that has enough capacity for the ports.

can you please more clarify, we buy an ISR 4321 with FXO.

but in the future we will install an E1 line cable from our ISDN provider.

i want to know if its important to have the PVDM4-32 for the E1

or we can use the FX0 for E1 Line

YES you need to install a PVDM in the NIM that will have the T1/E1
