RCC/Lync - single cluster intergration with multi CUCM clustering

All,

Has anyone been able to integrate a single lync cluster  with a multi cluster CUCM/Cups enviorment?  Globally, we have only a single Lync cluster enviorment, where as we have 3 cucm clusters based on regions.

In short, i do not see anyway for  Lync or cups to be configured to support this.

Any takers?

James

With the disclaimer that I haven't done this, sure I'll take a swing at it.

You would need a IM&P/CUP server/cluster for each CUCM cluster as they are locked in a 1:1 pairing due to the Informix database being increasingly shared between them. From Lync's perspective you would essentialy repeat the integration three times, with unique SIP Routes for each server/cluster. The Line Server URI for the user would then have the cluster-specific right hand side value. Example: sip:jon@cluster1-cup1.mydomain.com.
