Hi,

How do we schedule a meeting with TelePresence? Do anyone have a proper document on how to schedule TelePresence meetings with Microsoft Outlook?

The Client is using Microsoft AD /Exchange.

Thanks

Kalesh:

To schedule a Cisco TelePresence session you use your common enterprise groupware, either Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes. You only need to add the Cisco TelePresence room as another resource in your invite (same thing you do today to reserve a room for a non-virtual meeting)

You will need, additionally to the Cisco TelePresence endpoints (CTS-500, CTS-1000, CTS-3000 and/or CTS-3200), the Cisco TelePresence Manager. You will require no client software or plug-ins in order to schedule and automatically launch calls. Instead the Cisco TelePresence Manager acts as a room-scheduling proxy and receives and processes all meeting invitations sent and received in Cisco TelePresence rooms.

The software is designed to make the in-room experience for users as natural and simple as possible, with "one-button-to-push" meeting launch and automatic display of meetings on the in-room IP phone.

You can find Cisco TelePresence Manager's Data Sheet here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/ps7060/ps8329/ps8331/ps7074/product_data_sheet0900aecd805455ff.html

Hope it helps!

Dear Mariano,

Thanks a lot for the quick reply.

We have installed CTS 1000 and 3000 before, but all the backend configuration was done by Cisco. This is the first time we are attempting an end-to-end installation.

We have a CTS 1000 and CTS 3000 at Bangalore and a CTS 3000 at New Jersey.

We have installed the callmanager, a CTS Manager and a CTS Multipoint switch with the 2 CTS systems at Bangalore.

We had some issues regarding the passwords while configuring the CTS Manager Wizard (It had contained special characters like ! and @, which were not supported). We resolved it with the help of guys at Cisco.

We are aware of the one button push meeting launch.

You said" Instead the Cisco TelePresence Manager acts as a room-scheduling proxy and receives and processes all meeting invitations sent and received in Cisco TelePresence rooms. " Can you share a document on configuring that please?

What I am looking is a document with screen shots pertaining to configuring a TelePresence meeting through Microsoft Outlook.

Please help...

Regards

Kalesh Kumar
