Hi,

How ringing and ring-back audios play in voip using skinny and sip protocols?

In other words, who is responsible for ringing/ring-back tone: ip phone/local gateway/call agent?

Hi

It's generally generated by the endpoint....

E.g. for an IP Phone, CCM sends a 'start tone' message to the phone to play ringback (in whatever is the local style) or dial tone...
