Show & Share - ECDS integration

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the Show & Share server and ECDS infrastructure integration:

According to Cisco documentation, it's also possible to create an ECDS delivery service by using the internal Show & Share file hosting, and not storing files to an external webserver (making they ingestible by the absolute http URL like http://serverip/folder/video.wmv from a delivery service).

But I have discovered that it's impossible to know the absolute URL video path on the internal storage and I can't configure a proper delivery service.

Someone knows how I can configure a delivery service for prefetching videos stored on local Show & Share storage instead on external webserver?

Hi Jason,

Yes, and it's impossible to do it. So you must use an external http/ftp server in order to be able to integrate SnS with ECDS.
