At what suitation we can see reinvite message and update message in a call flow.

and what is error message it will show when codec mismatch happens in a sip call flow

Hi,

First sip reinvite can be for following reasons,

1) session refresher ( from cucm if we have selected is invite) done by both cucm and sip proxy

2) re-negotiation

3) to deactivate current RTP session

Secondly update

1) session refresher if method selected update

2) do the same thing as invite but only if session is not established between the end devices.

Basically; sip re-invite has the impact on the current state of the dialoge, while update has not.

third, for cdec mismatch you call will disconnect with cause 47.
