Sip Call Problem

Hello,

We have a problem about incoming calls.  Topology is :

ISP --sip--> VG --sip--> Cucm --sccp--> CUC ---sccp--> CUCM 

We can reach the CUC from outside successfully, we hear the IVR, after we reach we dial our local number and signals can reach the ip phone ( or jabber), when we press the answer button, it fails. 

That is a codec problem. However, when I add all cucm features such as Ann, CFB, IVR, MOH and MTP in a mrg and leave it out. We don't hear any call proceeding voice or hold voice, but we can reach the phone successfully. 

I don't know why I face this issue like that.

Can you help on this?

We use a transcoder between vg and cucm and we pressed the mtp in  VG trunk. without mtp, we send video capabilities in sdp and ISP does not answer our invite messages. 

We have two device pool in CUCM. It should be.  Our main device pool can work successfully. We face this issue in second device pool. All other configs are at default.

We use a Call Manager (11.5.1.11900-26), 2911 Voice routers (15.5(3)M4a) and lots of ip phones and vpnless jabbers.

Hi,

To avoid invoking the transcoder one of the things you can try is to set the codec settings on dial peers to use G711  and also the region settings on cucm w.r.t the SIP trunk --- IP Phone --- VM Port --- IP phone as G711 .  If the call still fails then this needs to be investigated by trace analysis if the transcoder is being invoked and if there are any other issues going on.

Hello,

I tried this before. 

When I apply this, I removed the transcoder, because, I couldn't hear any media from the outside, and vice versa.

Without transcoder, still I faced the codec issue.

I removed the announciator, Calls are worked without any ringtone. The customer does not accept that.
