SMDI packet

I have CCM4.1.3/VG with fxs portS connected to third part voice mail server. and RS232 on VG connects to COM port on third party vociemail as well.

Here are few things configured and double checked.

1.null modem cable

2.SMDI service on callmanager

3. under voice gateway, SMDI part is configured

But there is no SMDI packet generated... any clue, thanks!!

Hi Yanhui,

The asyncs ports allow to connect directly into the VM system without requiring the use of the CMI service.

By default, none of the ports on the VG248 are configured to send SMDI info, to enable SMDI you must assign the number of SMDI ports a value from 1 to 48. Make sure that SMDI ports are consecutive.

Do you get something under Diagnostics Menu in VG248 ?

Actually we are using 2651 as VG.
