Can anyone recommend a good recording codec that works well for UM in a mixed PC/MAC network. I'm trying to get away from G711 due to mailbox size issues, but Macs won't support the Microsoft implementation of GSM 6.10

Talked with the audio gurus here... this is what they had to say:
=================
I believe the default Macintosh audio player only supports a couple of standard (large) WAV formats (PCM and G.711 (u-law, a-law))
You could try having Unity store messages in WAV format using the IMA-ADPCM codec. This is still half the size of G.711, but it is among the codecs sometimes used within AIFF-C files, which are the natively supported compressed sound files on the Mac.
Also, see http://www.spies.com/~franke/SoundApp/ for a Macintosh application that will supposedly play WAV files in (among others) GSM 6.10 and IMA-ADPCM formats.

Thanks for the information. One quick question. I selected IMA ADPCM 8khz 4 bit mono as the recording format and restarted unity. Everything appears to function correctly, but voice messages never appear in my inbox, and the message light on the phone never lights. Is there something additional that needs to be added for Unity to support IMA ADPCM?
