Can anybody tell me how to configure the SRST ports on a cisco router to keep trying the first available port available to force the call to go outbound? Currently if we have a pots line go into trouble the router cannot call outbound although we still have three good lines left. When our contractor installed the routers I have found out that the way they programmed the ports that when one line goes bad then none work. Which to me makes no sense. I have sort of found out that it has something to do with programming the ports in a group config. Thanks Tim Jarrell..

Yep, you have to use trunk group

eg: voice-port 0/0/0

trunk-group POTS

voice-port 0/0/1

trunk-group POTS etc

Under the dial peer, instead of port 0/0/x, use trunkgroup POTS.
