Your question would be better off in the TelePresence section of the forums, where these devices are more actively discussed and people can help get you the answers you need. You can move your question to the correct section by editing it and changing the categories at the bottom.
This has been asked a couple of times in the TelePresence section of the forums, whenever new endpoints are released and one is running an older version of TMS. You do risk the possibility of looking some functionality, TMS might throw an error, or some unknown issue might occur. It's always best to check the release notes and see what the minimum version of TMS supports newer endpoints as they get released. The supported TMS version for the MX700 and SX80 is TMS 14.4.
