I have a CCM 3.3.4 with a 3rd party voicemail system which only supports G7.11. I am using an NM-HDV2 for my conferencing and transcoding support. When I place a call from a remote site to voice mail the phone uses the transcoding to go from G7.29 to G7.11 but the voicemail does not see any of the DTMF tones. Can you help?
Luke.

What kind of gateway is the remote site? If it is h323 on the voice dial-peer pointing to the central location try to do the following.
dial-peer voice 1 voip
dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
Also you can create a voice class to support different codecs and apply to the dial-peer voice 1
ie
voice class codec 1
codec preference 1
codec preference 2
dial-peer voice 200 voip
voice-class codec 1
See if this fixes the problem.
Thanks,
Radhika

Hi Radhika
I am already running voice-class codec on the dial peer and dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric. The problem is if I call from an IP phone on the remote site. I am not sure if this uses the voip dial peers on the gateway as the call controll is done from callmanager as a SKINNY call.
Thanks
Luke

I have just tested this again and it is now working. It must have been an issue with the 3rd party voicemail.
Thanks for your help.
