transcoding in cme3.2

I have a 2801 as a cme and when I make a conference between two pstn parties and a local user, the conference is fine, but when one of the participants is a remote phone in my wan site, the conference can not be completed. I assume this a codec issue because I have g729 with my wan router and g711 to the pstn. I read something about using a network module as a transcoding resource, but I want to know if it's possible and how I use the local unused DSPs of my router.

it is possible to use the dsps on your 2801 (if you have enough left) for transoding:

I checked this link but it focused on the external NM and I want to know how I do it with the on-board PVDMs

It's the same thing. If you read the prereqs on that page, you will see that the document applies to both.
