running callmanager 3.3.3 when trying to change anything for a user such as name, password, pin etc, get an error -2100 access denied this seems to be a write problem because searches work ok I can display the users.

I answered my own question,
found that the DC directory service was paused
started ok. Why it was in a paused state who knows

I have seen it pause for 2 reasons. Running out of disk space can cause this and I have seen it pause during a backup and not unpause. If you are using stibackup, I would recommend running BARS 4.0.7. If you look at the compadibility matrix, stibackup should not be used with CCM 3.3 or later.
