Heard somewhere it was 25 but can't confirm where I saw/read it. Is it possible to increase that number, if so, where can that be done?

It's definitely not 25. There's an All Subscriber's list that will contain far more subscribers on most systems. There's really no limit in Unity. Since it's based on the Exchange directory (E55) or AD Groups (E2K) , the limit is going to be whatever the limit is for Exchange or AD.

there no limit on public distribution lists members
you may have heard this about PRIVATE distribution lists which are a per user thing and aren't stored in the directory or shared among users. In older versions of Unity this was limited to 20 or 25 members per list. In 3.x and later there is no practical limit on the private lists any longer either - they're stored in SQL now days and I've setup users with hundreds of private list members.

Jeff,
Just an update regarding this issue... while you can add as many users as you want to a private list using Active Assistant or SaWeb there seems to be a limitation when you want to modify the list using the phone menu prompts. We created a test private list with 25 members thru SaWeb. Tried to add 26th user using phone prompts, get "list contains maximum number of names."
