Use CUMI to trigger notifications for existing messages

Hi All,

I want to trigger a new SMTP notification for all messages (read and unread) prior to a specific date.  I know that notifications get triggered when new messages are added to the inbox folder, is there a way through CUMI of triggering notifications for existing messages? I have tried marking  messages in the inbox as unread but this does not trigger a notification.

Any info is appreciated

Chester

Hi,

Find this link - https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/REST-API/CUMI_API/b_CUMI-API/b_CUMI-API_chapter_0101.html  for sending notification using CUMI API.

Hope this helps you!

Thanks Anusha, from what I understand - with CUNI you can subscribe to notifications but not actually trigger them from what I am seeing.  Ideally I would be able to use CUMI to trigger new notifications for existing messages. If you have an example of how CUNI can do this, I'm all ears.

Thanks!

Chester

Thanks David - that is about what I am finding.

We are going to go with DRS message restore for this scenario:

Thanks all!
