Hi All,

I'm using AS5300 ports for switching purpose, as i set 1 port as user the other as network. After all the configuration i can see that both ports layer 3 is up and running. But when i send traffic over, something it can switch the calls over from port to port . Most of the time it did not manage to switch through, it keep have this error code "unassigned number.",

Maybe i know is there anyway can i get around by using AS5300 port for switching purpose? i using IOS version 12.2.5

Thanks, Regards

Chan

Hi Chan -

It is possible to switch calls between 2 POTS ports on a 5300. It sounds like what's happening is that you're sending a call out one POTS port and you are stripping some digits, so that when the 5300 receives the call, it doesn't know how to forward the call with the new digit string.

You should be able to diagnose this with:

- debug isdn q931

and see what digits are coming in on the inbound POTS port.

Regards,

Clay
