VCS Certificate Based Authentication

I'm attempting to use certificate based authentication on one of my VCS. The problem I'm running into is that the VCS appliance tries to present the ldap query as sAMAccountName=user@domain which will not work with our configuration. I need the VCS appliance to present the ldap query as a userPrincipalName=user@domain (UPN). How can I change the way the VCS presents the query?

What are you mapping UserID in CUCM to??

We do not utilize CUCM, we only utilize the VTC infrastructure (MCUs, Expressways, VCSs, Endpoints) with TMS
