Hi,
I'm wondering what's the key difference when a VG200 with NM-HDV-E1 module is configured as
1) either an MGCP GW and registered to CCM3.2 or
2) a H.323 GW and registered to CCM3.2 or
3) both
How does would other H.323 gateways communicate with it?
Would the CCM automatically trancode between the different call signalling protocols ?

First of all the mgcp capability is not yet available for the vg200. It will be available when the 12.2(2)XN release of IOS is available. When this code is available the main advantages will be you don't have to configure dail-peers on the router for routing the call all this is down in the Cisco CallManager. Another advantage is that you will have failover capabilty with MGCP on the IOS and do not currently have that we h.323.
You can check CCO for the availablity of 12.2(2)XN.
Hope this helps,

I had heard that 12.2(2)XN was supposed to be released today (2/25/2002). Has anyone seen it?
