Hi everyone,

Could say if aci environment the service unsupported-transceiver works?

APIC1(config-leaf)# service unsupported-transceiver
Error: Invalid argument 'service unsupported-transceiver '. Please check syntax in command reference guide
APIC1(config-leaf)#
APIC1(config-leaf)# exit
APIC1(config)# service unsupported-transceiver

No that command isn’t supported within and ACI fabric.

3rd party transceivers might work, but you would have to use the same ones on each end. If this is a lab environment I would say try it to see it it’ll work, but for a production environment I would just cough up the extra dollars for the Cisco SFP’s and it will make support calls much easier.

If only it was a few extra dollars.... and not 10x the cost for the Cisco Logo.
