configure sun cluster on nexus 9k

configure sun cluster on nexus 9k

I have two sun servers connected to two nexus 9k, where each server is connected to both nexus, when I shutdown the port that connected to MPLS, the sun cluster is going to down, where the sun servers are connected to local nexus.

is there any special configuration for sun cluster on nexus.

Can you give a little more detail.

What version fo NX-OS are you running
Is there a diagram from this environment
Can you paste the configuration for the Nexus 9K switch to see how the ports are configured

SUN Servers
How are the ports configured Layer 2 or Layer 3?
Are you using a NCP or manually configuring the ports?

Hi Rick,

the version for  NX-OS is 7.0(3)I1(2), for diagram see the attached. for SUN server we just give the port IP address I don't know if the port is configured L2 or L3,

The ports are configured with Layer 2 only as this switchport mode access.
Nexus 9500 has the ability to form a vPC to make both links active.

Is the 3845 Router only connected to only Nexus 9500

Does the Sun Servers get their IP addresses from the router or are the configured statically.

Can you send the output from show ip interface brief and sho ip route on both Nexus 9500's

I noticed that the VLAN 32 is configured for HSRP. Can you please send the "show hsrp group #" for vlan 32" and "show run hsrp" configurations.

I'm thinking out loud here but maybe you just change VLAN 32 for the SUN cluster to standard SVI interfaces and let OSFP take care of the forwarding that would fix your issue.
