Connecting nexus 9K and fex's

Hi There

Sorry im posting to the wrong place,

Is there any way to connect a cisco B22 fex blade switch for HP to either a Cisco 93128tx or 9372TX?

I've got spare 40gb QBICS and copper 10GB ports but no sfp+ ports.

As far as I can tell I can't use breakout cables in these models and can't use bidi's with 10gb in the remaining 40gb ports as they only want to run at 40gb.

Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks.

According to

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/nexus-9000-series-switches/datasheet-c78-729405.html

The Cisco Nexus 9396PX and 9372PX can be used to connect both 10 and 40 Gigabit Ethernet-equipped fabric extenders, Cisco Nexus B22 Blade Fabric Extenders in Dell and HP blade chassis (not shown), and 10 Gigabit Ethernet-equipped servers and systems such as Cisco UCS. The Cisco Nexus 9372TX, 9396TX, 93120TX, and 93128TX provide excellent connectivity for large numbers 10 Gigabit Ethernet-equipped blade or rack servers equipped with 10GBASE-T ports.

Hi,

Unfortunately the breakout interface is not suppored on the platforms you mention. As per the Breakout Interfaces section of the Nexus 9000 Interface Configuration guide:

Note: The breakout of high bandwidth interfaces (module level or per-port level) are supported only on:

  • The X9636PQ, X9432PQ, and X9536PQ line cards on a Cisco Nexus 9500 Series switch.
  • The Cisco Nexus 9332PQ switch.
  • The Cisco Nexus 3164Q switch.
