For the Nexus switch configuration backup/archiving is a SFTP server required. But the DCNM 10 does only temporarily upload the configuration file and some checkpoint files to this SFTP, but delete it afterwards again, or in other words the SFTP server is not used as a real backup configuration file repository. The backup configuration files are stored locally on the DCNM here: /usr/local/cisco/dcm/dcnm/data/archive.
So, who could explain what is this SFTP effectively used? Just to compare two files or what?
