Does C93216TC-FX2 support 1Gb SFP using a QSA module?

We tried to connect a device to this new switch (to one of the 12p 40G/100G QSFP28) but the port just won't come up. These 40/100G ports already do accept the 10G SFP's but do they even support the 1G SFP?

Details
QSA module: CVR-QSFP-SFP (does support the 1G SFP)
1G SFP: GLC-SX-MMD
NXOS: version 9.3(7)

what SFP module you installed and not working, make sure both the side use same optic, setting speed and no negoation also help you.

check QSFP support:

Hi BB,

As mentioned we are using a GLC-SX-MMD together with a CVR-QSFP-SFP which is inserted into one of the 40G/100G ports.

Example port configuration
interface Ethernet1/100
no cdp enable
switchport mode trunk
spanning-tree port type edge trunk
spanning-tree bpduguard enable
speed 1000
duplex full
logging event port link-status
logging event port trunk-status
storm-control broadcast level 10.00
storm-control multicast level 10.00
storm-control unicast level 10.00

what is other side connected ? have you tried no negotiation.

can you post show interface ethe 1/100 and show interface eth1/100 tan

Hi,

I cannot show you the output of these commands as another transceiver (10G) is now inserted.

When i try to configure the speed it even does not show the 1G option, though the switch somehow accepted the command we copied the configuration from the old switch.
switch(config-if)# speed ?
   10000  10Gb/s
   40000  40Gb/s

Also, we have not tried the 'no negitiation' option as we have to plan a change for this to be executed.
