Hi,
I have caused the N7K-M224XP-23L module is a hot issue.
This happens loud noise(fan operating) in the nexus with the follwing log
It is very frequently
2015 Dec 9 10:40:31 N7K %PLATFORM-2-MOD_TEMPMINALRM: Module-10 reported minor temperature alarm. Sensor=31 Temperature=106 MinThreshold=105
2015 Dec 9 10:41:32 N7K %PLATFORM-2-MOD_TEMPOK: Module-10 recovered from minor temperature alarm. Sensor=31 Temperature=102 MinThreshold=105
Perhaps,31sensor is overheating, it seems that the fan is operating
Have you ever encountered symptoms such as us?
or solution, Please
Thanks

If your environment has adequate cooling and there isn't anything that could block airflow then I suspect that the module could be an issue. You can move the module around into a different slot(if that is possible) and see if the issue follows the module and then maybe open a TAC case with your analysis.

Hi, I have the same issue with sensor 31. All the time we get messages from crossing minor alarm threshold. We already check for: cleaning air filter, check for non blocking of airflow and adequate cooling of room.
We are working with 6.2(12) and have a TAC case but they cannot find anything related to bug, just suggest to upgrade to 6.2(16) but it cannot be sure if this solve the issue.
Any ideas?
Jorge

Hi all,
Room temperature is about 17°C and we double check to airflow and clearance as specified in datasheet.
I have a TAC case and they suggested environment issues but we have other Nexus working well in same room but different rack. I thing there is a bug related because other Nexus running 6.2(12) has the same minor alarms for s31 in slot 9.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Regards.
