Hello There!
As
per cisco documentation with NX-OS 4.2 it can support four VDC. Will
this # increase in the future NX-OS release or its hardware limitation?
http://cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/sw/4_2/nx-os/virtual_device_context/configuration/guide/vdc_overview.html
from the above url:
The NX-OS software supports upto four VDCs
and, therefore, 16,384 unique VLANs. A VDCadministrator can configure
VLAN IDs independently of the VLAN IDs used inother VDCs on the same
physical device.
Regards,
-SA
Hi SA,
Up to four VDCs can exist in the system at one time. Given that there is always a default VDC active (VDC 1), this means up to three additional VDCs can be created from the CLI and for future reference it will increase best to get the answer is cisco only.
