IOS Upgrade - Disabling Telnet

Dear Experts,

We are upgrading IOS for all our 2901 and 2911 routers. but when we are upgrading the IOS, we are facing one issue.

We upload the new IOS and configure boot system flash0 <New Image Name> and reboot the router

router is booting up with new image, every thing is normal but line vty is taking the configuration "transport input none". Because of this we are not able to upgrade the IOS remotely, as after the upgrade we will lose the management connection to the router.

Please let me know if there is any way to protect this behavior.

Old IOS: c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.150-1.M1.bin

New IOS: c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-3.M2.bin

Hello

sounds like a bug, however I havent found one related to telnet access and 15.4.3M2.

I would try 15.3.3M5.

other option would be to temporarily enable http and when router has restarted access it via http and enable telnet.

hope this helps

please rate helpful posts

thanks
