N5K-N2K design :: comparison straight through vs Activie Active topology

Hi ,

Can anyone provide comparison on N5K-N2K  straight through vs Activie Active topology  . Besides need answer on below

- Can we send active active traffic using Straight Through Topology with out using VPC at server end.

Please look into below links where you will find more details about straight-through, active-active and enhanced vPC topologies.

I don't think you'd be able to send active-active traffic just using straight-through topology. You can use vPCs and bind the 2 straight-through fexs spread across 2 leaf switches for active-active traffic though.

Please find the below link as well where supported topologies between Nexus and fex devices are captured.
