Network adapter doesnt detect after connecting it to nexsu 3172PQ switch using GLC-T ( 1 gig SFP )

I have a windows 7 server running on a desktop machine and connected this to nexus 3172PQ switch using GLC-T ( 1Gig SFP tranciever ) but the lit doesn't come up. Interfaces shows "Cable is unplugged on the Windows side".But where in if i connect this to Nexus 3172TQ switch and evertyhting starts working

Suspect is :

1. Do we need a special drivers needs to be installed in the windows 7 OS to detect the network connection from the Switch ( nexus 3172PQ )

2. nexus 3172PQ doesnt support the connecting directly to the Windows 7 desktop client --

What is the NIC speed of the Windows 7 Client.

You may need to configure speed as 1000 on the Nexus 3172PQ if the Windows 7 client supports 1 Gig

Windows 7 Client has Intel NIC Cards. And i did connect the GLC-TE on the Nexus 3172PQ Side with the speed 1000. no luck.
