Hi All, Am having issues getting a N3K up on a port-channel to a N9K VPC. Eth/-47 - 48 on N3K > eth1/24 on N9K1 and N9K2 VPC. Error message is

 %ETHPORT-3-IF_NON_CISCO_TRANSCEIVER: Non-Cisco
transceiver on interface Ethernet1/47 is detected

Transceivers-Cables= Cisco+

N9K

transceiver is present
    type is SFP-H10GB-CU5M
    name is CISCO-TYCO
    part number is 1-2053783-3
    revision is T
    serial number is TED1927C2Y8
    nominal bitrate is 10300 MBit/sec
Link length supported for copper is 5 m
    cisco id is 3
cisco extended id number is 4
    cisco product id is SFP-H10GB-CU5M

N3K

transceiver is present
    type is SFP-H10GB-CU5M
    name is CISCO-LOROM
    part number is LRHSPB54A050
    revision is B2
    serial number is LRM194992B7
    nominal bitrate is 10300 MBit/sec
Link length supported for copper is 5 m
    cisco id is --
cisco extended id number is 4

This is happening at 2 DC's with identical configuration. TAC has mentioned bug bug CSCuc86978, configuring 'service-unsupported-transceiver' and reboot switch. I've tried this already with no luck.

Recommendation now to reseat SFP and reboot. Anybody encountered this before.

N3K n3500-uk9.6.0.2.A6.3.bin

N9K nxos.7.0.3.I2.2b.bin

Thanks!

I have had a similar issue before.. Nexus 5k with Cisco brand SFP modules that fail to register in certain ports. We were lucky enough to have spare ports on the switch that for some reason accepted the SFP's. Sorry this doesn't answer your question, but you are not alone.

Changing mode to 'on' on port-channels brings up one side of the channel only.
